The XTERRA America Tour returns to Oak Mountain State Park on May 18 and 19, and volunteers are needed to help at the event. Come on over and be part of “the greatest races on dirt” – a fantastic international event weekend with some of the best athletes from all over the world coming to swim, run, and ride mountain bikes in Pelham, Alabama.
XTERRA will host a full day of triathlon racing on Saturday (May 18) as some of the world’s best triathletes will participate in the XTERRA Southeast Championship. Then, on Sunday (May 19), runners get in the action with 5K, 10K, 21K, and full marathon trail races. XTERRA could use help on both days.
Various duties include helping to register athletes before the race, prepping food/drinks in the recovery tent, handing out water/Gatorade on the course, being a course marshal, or helping out the timers.
We will need a full day of volunteers on both Saturday and Sunday, with the shifts running from approximately 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
All volunteers will receive a great looking event T-shirt, lunch, and the undying gratitude of the XTERRA Tribe! If you want to have a great day at the park and help show the world what Alabama hospitality is all about, please come on out.
